The Bramlett’s, what can you say other than excellent three part harmony,
great music and a desire to have as much fun on stage as the dancers in
attendance. Mike & D' have been married since January 1982, and have a
wonderful son Drew. Together it’s a combination that can’t be beat.
Mike has been calling since 1976. He has called on staff at several Square
Dance Resorts: Degray Lodge, Kirkwood Lodge, and Fun Valley. Mike has toured
Europe, and all over the United States, and still maintains a great home
program with his clubs.
Mike is the
caller for the Rebel Rousers, Texas Reelers and Wichita Wranglers as well as
his Monday night ADD and Friendship Plus Clubs.
Mike has recorded several records, and is currently
recording with
Global Music Productions.
Mike is a current member of the
North Texas Callers
Association, where he has gladly served in all positions of the Board.
Mike is the current 2010 President of the NTCA, as well as the Caller
Training Coordinator.
Mike is serving his second term as Vice President of
the Texas State Callers Association, and is a member of Caller Lab and
BMI/ASCAP. Mike Calls through A2, but believes that
Mainstream Dancing is still the best dancing level.
D’ and Drew add that extra pop when all three hit the stage. D’ learned to
sing years ago as a child. Taught by her mother, Yvonne McDonald who was a
Professional Gospel Singer, and Drew, well let’s just say he’s a natural.
Drew writes, reads, plays music. Drew is an award winning actor, a published
poet, while in High School made Honors Band while playing first chair Tuba
for 4 years, as well as playing several instruments in the Jazz Band. Drew
also made All Region and State Band prior to graduating from North Garland
High School. Oh yes, D’ and Drew say Mike is a load to carry when all three
are on the stage, but it’s a labor of love.
Since Mike and the Rebel Rousers first teamed up, they have kept the idea of
"Let's Put the Fun Back into Square Dancing!" The Rebel Rousers all travel
together spreading a vibrant atmosphere of fun where ever they go. They will
tell you being a member of the Rebel Rousers is like being part of the
family. If you enjoy having fun and dancing to a caller who enjoys his job,
then give the Rebel Rousers and the Bramlett’s a chance. We will put a song
in your heart, a little pep in your step, and a big smile on your face.
